A-DNA Related Biological Terms:

A right-handed helix; a variant of the dominant B-form of DNA in solution, in which the base pairs are tilted somewhat out of the perpendicular orientation to the axis of the helix. (see also Z-DNA)

DNA-DNA hybridization When DNA is heated to denaturation temperatures to form single strands and then cooled double helices will re-form (renaturation) at regions of sequence complementarity. This technique is useful for determining sequence similarity among DNAs of different origin and the amount of sequence repetition within one DNA.

a double-stranded molecule in which a strand of DNA has annealed with or base paired with a complementary RNA molecule.
