Escherichia coli (E. Coli) is a preferred system for recombinant protein expression because it generally provides the most cost effective solution. However, there are several limitations when using E. Coli for protein expression, include difficultly in production for proteins with strict endotoxin condition requirements and poor secretion for secretory proteins in certain experiments. In order to combat these limitations, GenScript has established a Bacillus subtilis expression platform to produce recombinant proteins with extremely low endotoxin requirement. In this webinar, we will introduce the process of establishment of the expression system, demonstrate its advantages over the traditional E.coli system, and provide some case studies to illustrate the research applications using the B. subtilis expression system.
