Abstract

Human neurodegenerative diseases can be characterized as disorders of protein aggregation. As a key player in cellular autophagy and the ubiquitin proteasome system, p62 may represent an effective immunohistochemical target, as well as mechanistic operator, across neurodegenerative proteinopathies.
